Official training, test races, opening ceremony, these were the main points of the day before the European Race Walking Team Championships in Poděbrady.

After two years, spa town of Poděbrady is again the host of a big athletics festival. At the weekend European Race Walking Team Championships, we can look forward to a number of medallists from the Olympic Games, World and continental championships. The Czech representatives will also want to perform their best in front of the home audience.

Before the European Race Walking Team Championships, the Czech Athletic Federation announced a creative competition for primary and kindergarten schools in Poděbrady, the main theme of which is walking. Each school could thus jointly create and present their art work in the form of drawings or spatial objects. The announcement will take place in the Fan Zone of the championships on Sunday at 3 p.m.
